Kedarnath Yatra

Mangal Vedic Resort has three helipads at a distance of 100 meters from where helicopter service is available to Kedarnath Dehradun Delhi, from here Sonprayag is 3.4km away which is the main stop of Kedarnath Yatra. 5 km from Sonprayag is Gaurikund and 19 km from Gaurikund is Kedarnath i.e. Kedarnath Temple at a distance of 27.4 km from the resort. This resort is also convenient for people going on Kedarnath Yatra.

Triyugi Narayan Temple

Triyugi Narayan Temple is at a distance of 7 km from the resort. Triyuginarayan is the holy marriage site of Shiva and Parvati. Mythological belief is that at this place, Lord Shiva took seven rounds of Goddess Parvati, who was the daughter of King Himachal, considering Lord Vishnu as a witness.

Mundkatiya Temple

At a distance of 6 km from the resort, there is a temple of beheaded Ganesh ji, which is visible from the resort. Going by the Shiva Purana, this is the exact location where Lord Shiva severed his son Ganesha’s head because the former prevented his father from entering Parvati Devi’s private quarters as he was not aware of the fact that Lord Shiva is his father.

Vishwanath Temple

Vishwanath Temple, Guptkashi is at 31km. The sacred Vishwanath Temple is the place where Lord Shiva proposed Parvati to marry him. However, the conjugal ceremonies of the wedding were carried in the Triyugi Narayan Temple also known as Trijuginath Temple in Rudraprayag district.

Siddha Peeth Kalimath Temple at 42kms. Kalimath is the place where the goddess appeared to kill the demon Raktavija. She is believed to have blessed this place with her divine presence and showered it with her grace and blessings. It is said that the torso of Sati fell where this temple is located. Kalimath is a prominent shakti peeth that lies en route to Kedarnath in Rudraprayag.

Moreover, earlier Ukhimath was popular by the name Ushamath that was inspired by Vanasur’s daughter Usha.

70kms from Tungnath Temple. Tungnath is one of the highest Shiva temples in the world and is the highest of the five Panch Kedar temples located in the Rudraprayag district, in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The Tungnath mountains form the Mandakini and Alaknanda river valleys.
